Arirang
About the Project
This poster is a visual interpretation of Arirang (PASS) by Gemini (제미나이), a modern reimagining of Korea’s most iconic folk melody. The track blends R&B softness with traditional undertones, creating a sound that feels both timeless and contemporary—a delicate thread this poster seeks to echo.
Photographed while crossing the Han River at night, the image captures the hushed motion of the city in transit. The mirrored skyline evokes reflection and gentle disorientation—qualities embedded in the track’s layered synths and falsetto vocals. The result is a quiet, floating visual: Seoul as memory, as metaphor, as mood.
Typography is minimal and vertically stacked, referencing traditional Korean hanging scrolls. The extended horizontal line between “Arirang” and “Gemini” acts as a visual sustain—a pause, a breath—mirroring the song’s long-held notes and slow, rhythmic pulse.
This piece is part of an ongoing series that reimagines tracks from the Feel the Rhythm of Korea campaign through color, typography, and motion-inspired imagery.
