Grand Escape
About the Project
Grand Escape is a conceptual exhibition poster exploring the theme of emotional and spatial departure from routine.
The Korean subtitle, 일상의 경계를 넘어서 (translating to “beyond the boundaries of the everyday”), informed the visual language of the design. The boundary between image and color block was intentionally softened—allowing the etching to drift into the gradient space. This decision visually echoes the show’s theme of crossing thresholds, both literal and metaphorical.
Two versions were developed: one with a vertical date placement, representing temporal disruption and asymmetry; and a final layout featuring a centered date, chosen for its clarity, quiet balance, and typographic unity.
