Process-based works grounded in risograph, screenprint, etching, lithograph, and letterpress. Printmaking here becomes more than reproduction—it’s a method of storytelling, of building physical traces and temporal layers, often informed by nostalgia, language, and texture.

Pochoir ghost print on paper, 9 x 12 in.

About the Project

A faded imprint, a lingering trace—this piece explores how longing leaves behind spectral shadows of memory, never fully intact, yet impossible to forget. As an immigrant, I see myself as a bird leaving its nest in search of home—a tender metaphor for the tension between past and present, rooted and unrooted.

The intimate scale invites close, almost reverent viewing—mirroring how I return to memories: cautiously, tenderly. Blue, the final trace left when CMYK prints fade in sunlight, holds quiet symbolism—an echo of memory’s erosion over time.

Hand-shredded paper strips, arranged like a nest, echo the layering of experience that builds identity. The piece is a ghost print—its accidental chemical spill leaving behind white voids, like memories half-remembered. These absences don’t erase meaning; they sharpen what remains.

In this way, Home becomes a meditation on nostalgia’s fragile architecture: where what’s missing makes the present more visible.
