Process-based works grounded in risograph, screenprint, etching, lithograph, and letterpress. Printmaking here becomes more than reproduction—it’s a method of storytelling, of building physical traces and temporal layers, often informed by nostalgia, language, and texture.
Night Drive
About the Project
Night Drive is a two-layer screenprint created with handmade stencils and a split-fountain gradient, designed to evoke the surreal quiet of driving through a city at night. The prints were animated into a soft slideshow, allowing the two versions to fade between one another—mirroring the flicker of streetlights, shifting memories, and the dreamlike quality of motion through space.
Each element was hand-drawn and composed to recall my personal memory of nighttime drives in Seoul: headlights carving paths through narrow streets, signage glowing in warm yellows, the skyline both familiar and abstract. The swirling night sky adds a sense of psychological depth, echoing nostalgia and introspection.
By cycling between the two prints, the work captures the ephemeral in-betweenness of memory—where no single frame is fixed, but feeling lingers.
