Nostalgia
About the Project
Nostalgia: memories fade in blue is a speculative exhibition poster exploring the fragility of memory through the lens of print, light, and time.
The background image originates from my own pochoir print, which I intentionally blurred to evoke a sense of emotional distance and fading recollection. This visual choice was informed by the way CMYK prints, especially those exposed to prolonged UV light, often fade unevenly—leaving behind a blue-toned ghost of the original image. That cyan residue became the conceptual and visual foundation of this piece.
To extend the theme of impermanence, the title NOSTALGIA and its subtitle memories fade in blue were also softened with layered blur effects. Their partial legibility mirrors how memories—no matter how vivid—inevitably lose clarity over time.
The result is a quiet, contemplative poster that blurs the boundary between material process and emotional resonance. It imagines an exhibition housed at Cloudroom Gallery, a fictional space that exists as much in memory as in design.
