SE0UL_Glyphscape
About the Project
A typographic exploration of memory and place, SE0UL_Glyphscape is composed entirely of the letters S, E, O, U, and L—drawn from the visual energy of my hometown. Created through analog letterpress printing and digital collage, the composition weaves these glyphs into a mirrored, symmetrical structure: part city grid, part coded language.
Layered textures and vibrant gradients echo Seoul’s dynamic rhythm—a city where tradition meets futurism, and written language is embedded in every corner of the urban landscape. By abstracting the name of the city into pure form, the work transforms typography into architecture, gesture, and atmosphere.
It’s a portrait of a place remembered and reimagined—where text becomes texture, and memory becomes pattern.
